Rocket Sales & Catering.
Your event business.
One system.
ROCKET Sales & Catering manages rooms, meeting packages and services, builds the Function Sheet, and hands every line item off to your PMS. Nothing gets entered twice. Nothing goes unbilled.
If it is not on the BEO, it does not happen. And it does not get billed.
Events are the only business in the hotel still run on outdated printouts. The client moves the start time at 4 pm; the kitchen reads it on paper the next morning — or not at all. What gets lost never shows up in any report: the forgotten AV line item, the unbilled extension, the team chasing the schedule by phone.
The spreadsheet workaround
Without a Sales & Catering system (S&C for short), events live in spreadsheets, inboxes and people's heads.
The heavyweight trap
The S&C modules of the big system suites are heavy implementation projects in their own right. Which is why many properties run: none at all.
The paper reality
BEOs as printouts, changes passed along verbally, photos buried in a marketing folder. The highest-revenue square footage in the house runs on the shakiest process.
FUNCTION DIARY
Every room. Every event. One look.
The digital Function Diary is your property's timetable: rooms as rows, time as columns, every event a color-coded block with a clear status -- what classic S&C systems call a function book. Instantly readable, no training required.
Combo spaces, built in: booking the ballroom automatically blocks Salon A and B. Double bookings are structurally impossible — not just unlikely.
A separate access for operations: banquet and front-desk staff work directly in the Function Diary - no detour through the sales manager.
FUNCTION SHEET / BEO
The client changes. The kitchen knows. Instantly.
The Function Sheet - often called a run sheet on-site, known internationally as the BEO - is generated directly from your event data: no double entry, no copy-paste. Every department gets its own view on the tablet: the kitchen sees menus and timing, AV sees the setup, banquets sees the run of show. Big type, tap-to-check-off, built for the pass - not the binder.
And when something changes, the real strength kicks in: the AI detects the change in the client communication, checks it against the contract, creates a new version and notifies exactly the departments affected. PDF export stays — for anyone who wants paper. But nobody works off yesterday anymore.
MASTER DATA
Maintained once. Right everywhere.
Photos, descriptions, capacities and equipment for every space, room category and package live directly in the system — in English and German. Every proposal, every BEO and every client reply pulls from the same, current content. No hunting for the right photo in a marketing folder, no outdated copy in a proposal.
And because everything is structured, the AI can work with it: it builds proposals and packages from your master data.
Closing line: Most sales and catering systems manage dates. ROCKET knows your property.
+AI PACKAGE BUILDER
Three lines from the client. One fully priced package.
“Meeting, 40 people, 2 days, coffee breaks, lunch, projector.” That is all the AI needs to build a complete event package from your master data — space, catering, AV, every line item cleanly priced.
Your team reviews, adjusts, approves. The AI proposes — a human decides. The speed stays in the system; the accountability stays with you.
ARCHITECTURE
Your PMS stays the system of record. ROCKET writes back.
Your PMS keeps what it does best: rooms, folio, the invoice. ROCKET Sales & Catering owns the event layer — spaces, events, packages, BEOs — and hands every billable line item automatically back to the PMS. The difference from tools that just read along: ROCKET does not watch. ROCKET does.
And the difference from the heavyweight S&C suites: ROCKET is live in weeks, not project years - lightweight to run, deep in integration. OPERA properties go first, on the integration depth ROCKET already runs in production today. ROCKET Sales & Catering is available today for properties on leading systems such as OPERA, MEWS and Apaleo.
FOR HOTEL GROUPS
Set up one property. Or twenty.
Define spaces, room categories, packages and rates once, centrally — and roll them out to every property. Whatever differs by location, each property adjusts itself, without losing the standard.
A new property is ready in days, not months. Corporate always sees which property runs on which standard. And the initial master data setup is something we build together with you during onboarding.
And when one RFP spans several properties? Portfolio-wide proposals are ROCKET Core’s job.
For hotels that take events seriously.
Hotels without an S&C system
The event layer your PMS is missing — without a license-and-implementation project of its own, connected through integrations already running in production.
Independent properties with banquet business
Function Diary, Function Sheet and PMS handover in one system you can run without weeks of training.
Hotels on MEWS or Apaleo
Hotels without an events layer in their PMS: your PMS is built for rooms, not events - Apaleo, for example. ROCKET runs your entire events business and feeds room blocks and billing items back into the PMS.
Hotel groups
Central master data, rollout in days, standards in view — the full story is one section up.
Sell. Deliver. Steer.
Three modules. One system - working in your hotel systems, not alongside them.

The questions hoteliers really ask about Sales & Catering software.
-
Sales & Catering (S&C) software is the event management software hotels use to run their meetings and events business — MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events). It handles function space allocation, event details, running orders (function sheets) and the handover of services into billing, complementing the property management system (PMS) that runs rooms and invoicing. ROCKET Sales & Catering connects both worlds and automates the steps in between with AI.
-
A function sheet — internationally a BEO (Banquet Event Order) — is the working document for an event: room, timings, seating, menu and technical setup. Kitchen, service and technical teams all work from it. In ROCKET the function sheet isn't a printout but a live-synced, department-specific view with automatic versioning.
-
Yes, that's exactly what ROCKET is built for. Your PMS stays the system of record for rooms, folio and invoicing, while ROCKET Sales & Catering adds the venue management software layer that most PMS platforms lack: function diary, events, packages and function sheets, with billing items passed back to your PMS automatically. There's no separate, heavy S&C implementation project.
-
Yes, with both. ROCKET Sales & Catering runs the entire events business there - Function Diary, events, packages, Function Sheets - and delivers group room blocks and billing items to the PMS.
-
No. The PMS remains the system of record for rooms and invoicing. ROCKET Sales & Catering adds the layer most PMS lack — the meetings and events business — rather than replacing your core system.
-
Together they cover the full group sales workflow. ROCKET Core is the group sales software that automates hotel proposals from first inquiry to signed contract; won business is handed straight to Sales & Catering with the event, spaces and services already set up. Both modules share one data foundation, so nothing is entered twice.
-
Centrally. As hotel group sales software, ROCKET lets you define spaces, categories, packages and prices once at group level and roll them out to every property, while each property adjusts local variations without losing the group standard. A new property is ready to go within days.
-
For standard setups, three to four weeks pass between signing the contract and your first live, automatically generated proposal request. For hotels running PMS platforms with open APIs, such as Opera Cloud and Apaleo, that first request can go live in as little as 48 hours.
The timeline depends mainly on three factors: how quickly your technical contacts are available, which PMS you use, and how many properties are involved. For multi-property rollouts, we work in parallel, so the total timeline doesn't scale linearly with the number of properties.
-
Your onboarding starts on the day you sign the contract. Within 24 hours, you'll receive a welcome message outlining every next step, along with a dedicated point of contact who guides you through the entire process.
Four workstreams run in parallel:
Communication and contacts. Together, we identify the right contacts at each hotel: operational lead, technical contacts for your PMS and email system, and whoever owns policy decisions. For multi-property customers, we consolidate contacts intelligently, so you're never asked the same question twice.
Technical integration. We connect Rocket to your PMS and email environment. For standard systems, access is live within 24 hours of credential approval. You retain full control over permissions and data flows.
Property setup. We load your hotel information, value lists, and cancellation terms into the system. Where you'd rather use standard templates, we work from prepared templates that you can adjust anytime later. That way, you don't lose time on configuration before you see the first results.
Testing and sign-off. Before your system goes live, we run an end-to-end check to confirm incoming requests are processed correctly and proposals are generated at the quality level you expect. Go-live only happens once this test passes. On training day, your users receive their access and a structured walkthrough.
After go-live, you stay in touch with your MICE DESK point of contact. They guide you through the first weeks of active use and make sure Rocket delivers the value we promised.
